Biography

Caroline m. Fremont lived in Toronto, Canada until moving with her parents to Florida during her last year of High School in Commercial Art graduating from Clearwater High School. Mechanical drafting was a course study as the only drawing class available. By participating in various local art projects and contests she was recognized with several Awards given by the Upper Pinellas Branch, American Association of University Women.

Enrolled into the Interior Design Course of The Ringling School of Art, Sarasota, Florida she distinguished herself as an Honour Student. Caroline returned to Toronto with Advanced Standing at The Ontario College of Art (OCAD) graduating their Interior Design Program.
While working in the design field Caroline became a part time student at York University, Glendon College. A transfer to University of Toronto - Scarborough was precipitated by a move with her husband to a small rural village north east of Toronto where they had chosen to live and raise their family.

It was not until retirement from an extended design career that time and inclination lead to an interest in painting for the sake of painting.
Serendipity played its part in leading her to the Haliburton School of The Arts and finding the Toronto Artist & Art Educator, Steve Rose. It was through his initial encouragement and direction that she blossomed and a hidden talent emerged. The influence and opportunity to study with International Artists, Lila Lewis Irving and American Artist, Tammra Sigler helped significantly to develop her artistic direction.

Caroline’s first Exhibition was a group show, 2012 , at The Canadian Women’s Art Association. Since then she has exhibited in numerous galleries in and around Toronto and Naples, Florida. She continues to contribute to various charity auctions. The recognition by inclusion and awards received from annual juried shows always keeps her momentum in high gear.

Filled with passion to produce art and consistent encouragement her works are now in numerous private collections within Canada, USA, Germany and beyond.
